Rochester Woman Guilty in Fatal New Year's Day 2023 Crash

A Rochester woman is guilty of manslaughter and assault in a crash that killed her sister early hours of New Year's Day last year.

Prosecutors say 30-year-old Jellia Lockhart lost control as she sped past another car and hit a tree, then ran off and lied about what happened.

Her sister, Charlaura, was dead at the scene, while a 2nd passenger suffered critical injuries but survived.

Lockhart will be sentenced March 28th.
