3 Clyde-Savannah Football Players in Court for Alleged Assault

The three Clyde-Savannah high school football players facing the most serious charges in a locker room assault in October had a court date today.

They're charged with sexually abusing and hazing another student after practice.

The case is being heard in Youth Part Court, meaning the proceedings are public.

Acting Wayne County District Attorney Christine Callanan says the victim seems to be recovering, and has returned to school.

The court will decide next month on whether to keep felony charges in place.

A fourth teen was charged for recording a video of the assault, and that case was moved to Family Court.
