Rochester Man Arraigned on Federal Charges in Henrietta Kidnapping

A Rochester man charged in the kidnapping of a woman from a Henrietta motel pleaded not guilty to new federal charges.

27-year-old Cordell Brooks is charged with kidnapping and sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion.

Prosecutors say he and 27-year-old Shuntiayana Sims dragged the woman out of the Microtel lobby back in July and threw her into a car.

That abduction was seen on security camera video.

Brooks still faces state charges of sex trafficking, promoting prostitution, kidnapping, and assault.

Sims pleaded guilty to kidnapping and assault in October.
