Rochester Man Sentenced to 27 Years in Homicide, Shootout

A Rochester man has been sentenced today to 27 years in prison for his guilty plea in a homicide on Labor Day last year.

Prosecutors say 35-year-old Travis Lewis III shot and killed Isaiah Fleming during an argument at a neighborhood store on Joseph Avenue.

Lewis was also charged a gunfight later that month on North Clinton Avenue that seriously wounded a three-year-old who was caught in the crossfire.

Lewis pleaded guilty to manslaughter and other charges in the Fleming homicide, and several assault and weapons counts in the shootout.
