RG&E And NYSEG Will Be Audited By The State Public Service Commission

The State Public Service Commission has voted to conduct a management and operations audit of RG&E and NYSEG.

An independent auditor will be brought in to conduct the audit, which state law requires every 5 years.

The last audit of the two utilities took place more than four years ago. The PSC recommended 81 improvements that were completed this year.

Customers have complained this year about billing and customer service issues at RG&E, and some lawmakers have called for a public takeover
