RIT has broken ground for a new music performance theater.
It's the first major theater project in the Rochester area in decades.
Theater director Erica Haskell says it will accommodate a surge in students interested in the performing arts.
The three-story theater will house a 750-seat theater for musical productions, with two balconies and a huge pipe organ.
It should open in 2025.
