Rochester's Gun Violence State of Emergency Extended for Another Month

Mayor Malik Evans has extended Rochester's Gun Violence State of Emergency for another month.

The previous 30-day order was set to expire this week.

CIty officials say the order allows them focus resources on cutting down the number of shootings.

And the number of shootings and homicides is down from this time last year.

The emergency order has been in place since July of last year.
