Rochester Names New Fire Chief

Rochester has picked its new Fire Chief.

City officials have confirmed what our Bob Lonsberry first reported: former Batavia Fire Chief Stefano Napolitano will be taking the job, effective September 11th.

Napolitano will replace interim Chief Teresa Everett, who has helmed the Department since Chief Felipe Hernandez retired in February.

Napolitano currently works as a deputy state fire administrator for the state office of fire prevention and control.

His appointment still needs to be confirmed by City Council.
