Mayor Evans Details Rochester's Guaranteed Basic Income Program

Rochester Mayor Malik Evans has detailed a program for a minimum basic income for city residents.

The Guaranteed Basic Income program will focus on qualified recipients in the city's highest-poverty and highest childhood poverty zip codes.

Evans says it will help the city's neediest families.

350 needy families will get $500 per month.

Applications begin next Thursday and will run for one week.
