Monroe County Could Have Monkeypox Vaccine As Soon As Next Monday

The Monroe County Department of Health is getting ready to get the monkeypox vaccine out as soon as next Monday.

Local health officials believe they'll get 600 doses of the vaccine to start.

An online scheduling link will go live as soon as they get the vaccine.

Gay or bisexual men who are over 18 and have had multiple or anonymous sex partners in the last two weeks will be eligible for a vaccine appointment.

The health department will be notifying close contacts of monkeypox-infected people, and offer them a vaccination.
