A Rochester man has been indicted in an attack on officers who were responding to a fire at his apartment last month. Vernell Moxley, 47, faces arson, and five counts of assault. Police say one officer on the scene at Hamilton Apartments on Mt. Hope Avenue was hit in the head repeatedly with a foot-long piece of wood. Two other officers were hospitalized, and Moxley allegedly choked a member of the staff at Strong Hospital.
