We expect to hear more today from Monroe County officials about the weekend assault at the Civic Center garage in downtown Rochester.
A man was attacked Saturday afternoon while walking with his wife and child.
Police say the family was accosted by 24-year-old Tyrone Oliver.
A passing driver stopped to give the family a lift, and police say that's when Oliver grabbed a hockey stick from the car and swung it at the man and his wife.
The man was not seriously hurt.
Oliver made an initial court appearance yesterday on a second-degree assault charge.
