Rochester Homicide Tally Climbs To 52

The Medical Examiner has ruled the death of a woman -- who was assaulted and robbed in a hotel room in Rochester -- a homicide.

Rochester police say the death of Alicia Saladyga is Rochester's 52nd homicide of the year. That's equal to ALL the city's homicides for 2020.

The woman was attacked on April 7th at a motel on Mt. Read Boulevard and died two weeks later.

Christopher Pate and Jennifer Shea were charged with assault, robbery and burglary. And they now could face homicide charges.

Pate is the man whose arrest and beating in 2018 lead to the coviction of a Rochester police officer.
