The driver of a race car is dead after a crash Saturday night at the Paradise Speedway in Phelps. The Ontario County Sheriff's Office has not released the name of the driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was pried out of his wrecked car by track and fire crews, but they were unable to revive him. The incident remains under investigation.
