State Coronavirus Restrictions Lifted

Governor Cuomo is effectively removing all of New York's COVID-19 related restrictions, as the state's reached an important vaccination milestone.

This applies to all commercial and social settings, although the state will continue to follow federal CDC guidelines when it comes to face mask rules.

Governor Cuomo says the 70 percent vaccination rate isn't the endpoint, adding he'd like to see the number climb even higher.

Tonight, fireworks will be set off across the state in honor of healthcare workers, including in Rochester at the Dome Arena.
