Today, For the First Time in Over a year, Many New Yorkers Can Go Unmasked

The reopening of businesses in the state marks a new milestone today.

Most capacity restrictions will be lifted at retail businesses, gyms, food services, hair salons and offices.

Outdoor dining curfews have already been lifted, and indoor dining curfews will end May 31st.

For the first time in more than a year, many New Yorkers don't have to wear a mask today when visiting most places.

Everyone who is fully vaccinated won't need to have on a mask or take part in social distancing. But, businesses do have the right to ask people to wear a mask, regardless of their vaccination status.
