Monroe County COVID-19 Cases Tick Upward

The latest coronavirus numbers are out for Monroe County, and are slightly higher than in recent days.

Monroe County Health Commissioner Dr. Michael Mendoza attributed that to an increase in the number of tests that were conducted.

The health department reports 180 new confirmed cases of the virus and no additional deaths since the last update.

The 7-day rolling average of new cases is 119 new cases per day, and the average positivity rate is up a tick to 1.6 percent.
