Cuomo touts State COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution

Governor Cuomo says getting the COVID-19 vaccine into people’s arms is happening quickly and fairly in NYS --but there isn’t nearly enough supply.

The governor says as of 11 a.m. today, 93 percent of first doses and 74 percent of second doses have been administered.

Delivery of the week 7 allocation from the federal government will not begin arriving until the middle of this week.

According to the governor’s office, the Finger Lakes Region has received over 118 thousand doses of the vaccine and has administered 78 percent of it so far.

Compared to other regions in the state, the Finger Lakes is one of the highest performing regions when it comes to administering its supply of the vaccine, only behind Western and Central New York.
