NYS Lawmakers Considering Several Measures to Close State's Budget Gap

State lawmakers will be considering several measures to close the state's budget gap.

The possible options include legalizing and taxing marijuana and mobile sports betting -- which would allow gamblers to place bets with their phone or tablet.

But the potential revenue from those measures would do little to close the budget hole.

Some lawmakers are pushing for higher taxes on the highest income earners, and Governor Cuomo is hoping for a federal bailout.

The legislative session begins tomorrow, and Governor Cuomo will deliver his State of the State address Monday.
