Governor Cuomo Outlines New Strategies in COVID Plan

Governor Cuomo is implementing five new strategies in a COVID winter plan.

He says New York needs to shift its focus to hospitals and hospital capacity due to cases going up at an alarming rate. The governor also says New York could go back on "PAUSE" if hospitals get overwhelmed, hospitals should activate retired doctors and nurses, and elective surgeries will be halted in some places.

Cuomo said New York lived through the initial COVID nightmare in the spring and "we will correct from the lessons we learned."
