Rochester City Council Approves Director of Police Accountability Board

The Rochester City Council has unanimously approved the hiring of Conor Reynolds as director of the new Police Accountability Board.

The vote came despite concerns raised by some council members last week about Reynolds' memo to his staff describing the board as a "wholly independent" city agency.

Board Chair Shani Wilson says the unanimous vote "shows the depth of the partnership between City Council and the Police Accountability Board.”
