NYS Education Commissioner Says Jan. 2021 Regents Exams are Canceled

The state has canceled January's High School Regents exams because of the pandemic.

The state Education Commissioner says the exams could not be safely, equitably and fairly administered.

The Education Department will give the Board of Regents proposed modifications to the testing requirements that students must meet in order to earn high school diplomas, credentials, and endorsements.

No decisions have been made regarding the June and August exams or any of the other State assessment programs.
