Cuomo Says COVID Alert App Data Won't be Revealed

Governor Cuomo says neither he nor the state Department of Health will be revealing any information gathered by the recently unveiled COVID Alert NY app.

The app tells users if they've been within six feet of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

Some people have expressed interest in looking at the data gathered so far to see how effective its been in helping the state curb the spread of coronavirus.

So far, the app has been downloaded by more than 630,000 people.
