NYS Board of Regents to Release School Reopening Guidelines on Wednesday

The local school districts across the state will have to wait a little longer for the guidelines from the state on how to reopen in September.

The governor said last week the guidelines would be announced today, but the Board of Regents has pushed the date back to Wednesday.

The districts will then have until the end of the month to submit their specific plans -- detailing their precautions and any plans for a partial, or phased, reopening.

Governor Cuomo said last week a final decision on whether students return to class will be made in early August.
