Gov. Cuomo Addresses Concerns over Multi Symptom Inflammatory Syndrome

Governor Cuomo is addressing the continued concerns over Multi Symptom Inflammatory Syndrome in children. He reported today there are now over 150 cases in the state.

He added that it's an enormous concern nationwide and globally since in the week to ten days when pediatric cases were initially identified, there are now double the number of cases nationwide. The Governor says this is the tip of the iceberg because the infections are being discovered when physicians re-evaluate sick children via the COVID lens.

With this in mind, state summer school classes will not be held in person, they will remain on the current remote learning platforms. Statewide meal plans will continue to operate.

Governor Cuomo says is still to early to make a decision on having in person classes in the fall.
