NYS Highest Court Declines Appeals From Rideout, Blackshell Cases

The state's highest court has declined to hear appeals in two area murder cases.

Laura Rideout had claimed she wasn't involved in the killing of her estranged husband Craig in 2016 in Penfield. She and her son, Colin, were convicted of murder.

And Johnny Blackshell, Jr. was convicted in the mass shooting outside the Boys and Girls Club in Rochester. Three people were killed, and two co-defendants were acquitted.
