Wegmans CEO Colleen Wegman says the company has secured a supply of face masks, and will distribute them to store employees.
Wegman told employees in a letter that the masks should be arriving at stores in the next few days.
She says the company is following the new CDC guidance, which advocates wearing masks in public.
Wegmans' previous policy was to let workers wear their own masks, and some employees claimed that they were told not to wear them.
