Inmates Released From Monroe County Jail

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says 51 inmates were released from the County Jail on Friday as part of the state's effort to slow the spread of coronavirus. None had symptoms and all were checked before being released. Eight were classified as sex offenders, and 12 were described as "transient population" and were put up at area hotels. One went to Rochester General Hospital for a mental health check. Some were released with electronic monitoring devices.
