State Senator Rich Funke is withdrawing his support for a state ban on flavored e-liquids.
He says on his Facebook he is still concerned about the health effects of e-cigarettes, but he says the latest evidence shows flavored e-liquids were not to blame for recent vaping-related deaths.
Funke has removed his name from the pending legislation in Albany.
He says he still believes vaping products need to be kept out of the hands of children.
