Cuomo Wants to Crack Down on Ghost Guns

Governor Cuomo is proposing another gun law.

He wants to limit the sale of firearm parts only to people allowed to buy a completed gun. In addition, the parts would have to be ordered through licensed gun dealers and the major parts would have to have their own serial number.

Cuomo believes those steps will limit the spread of so-called "ghost guns" -- guns that are assembled from spare parts and are not traceable because they have no serial numbers.

He says the number of people using untraceable guns in New York rose significantly last year.
