Rochester Man Convicted Of Two Federal Robbery Charges

A 25-year-old Rochester man has been sentenced to five years in prison after being convicted on two federal robbery charges.

Federal prosecutors say Malik Lott held up the East Avenue McDonald's with two other men, one of whom held a knife to an employee's throat. Lott displayed a handgun to another employee before all three fled with stolen cash. Lott and a different group of co-defendants then robbed a Dewey Avenue Liquor Store about a month later.

Police tracked Lott and the other defendants down and all have been convicted. The others are awaiting sentencing.
