The Lyons Central School District is closed today while authorities continue to look for a man accused of robbing the 7-Eleven in Phelps.
Authorities say they are looking for Brandon Burgess of Lyons, who is accused of walking into the convenience store yesterday morning armed with a gun, and leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash.
He fled the scene in a stolen vehicle, and authorities believe Burgess may have been headed to Wayne County. That caused lockouts yesterday at the Lyons Central School District and the Williamson School District.
Authorities say this is an active investigation and that Burgess is believed to be armed and dangerous. Authorities believe he may be hiding out in the area.
