Wilmot Family Moves to Sell Shares in del Lago Casino Resort

The Wilmot family has received approval from the Tyre Town Board to sell its stake in the del Lago Resort and Casino in Seneca County.

The board approved a resolution last night (Thu) allowing the Wilmots to sell their equity shares in the resort to their partner -- Peninsula Pacific, which would then become the casino's sole owner.

Tom Wilmot, Senior said in a statement that the family business has tremendous pride in the development of del Lago. He said selling the shares to Peninsula Pacific is "an opportunity that will have long-term benefits for all owners, patrons and the community."

Del Lago opened in 2017, but last year Moody's downgraded its financial outlook to negative after the resort fell short on its projected revenues by some $100 million.
