The woman accused of hitting and dragging two young children on Lyell Avenue in Gates has pleaded not guilty.
Letoya Palmo was in court today after being indicted on charges of second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child. Police sayi Palmo's car wasn't registered and shouldn't have been on the road in the first place. Court papers say she had been using her phone to take pictures while she was driving at the time of the accident.
Palmo's car hit a wagon in which a father was pulling his two children across a parking lot. Both were seriously injured, but are recovering.
