More Details in Fatal Crash Involving New Jersey Family

The Wyoming County Sheriff is saying more about the crash Sunday morning in the Town of Sheldon that killed two women and a child.

The people who were killed, and six other people traveling with them, were from Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Four children remain hospitalized.

The family of nine was traveling in a seven passenger minivan. Investigators say not everyone was wearing a seat belt, and their were no child seats or booster seats in the vehicle. The van was T-boned at an intersection. A 20-year-old Buffalo-area man is charged with DWI and aggravated vehicular homicide.

CLOSE Police have identified two of the three NJ family members killed in a crash while heading for Niagara Falls on a holiday weekend trip when a suspected drunken driver's pickup truck slammed into their SUV. Ondina Castro De La Cruz, 47, and Mayelin Brito-Castro, 32, were killed in the Sunday morning crash along with a 4-year-old child, the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office said.
