Guilty Verdict in Monroe County Murder Trial

A Monroe County Jury has convicted a man for killing two men and injuring a third in Rochester two years ago.

Syjesman Brown was found guilty of several charges today including murder, attempted murder and assault.

Prosecutors say back in May of 2017 the body of Alexander Powell was found with dozens of stab wounds in a vacant lot on Miller Street, and days later the burned body of David Jones Jr. was found on a pedestrian bridge in Genesee Valley Park.

A few months later authorities say Brown shot a man while in his car on Hoeltzer Street. He survived.

Brown will be sentenced in July.
