Elmira Heroin Trafficker Sentenced

Federal prosecutors say a Rochester man who pleaded guilty to being part of a heroin trafficking ring has been sentenced to nearly nine years in prison.

Barry Whittaker was arrested after an investigation by Elmira Police. They stopped his car in that city and found a loaded handgun, marijuana and 75 units of heroin packaged for sale. They also found more heroin and cocaine plus about 12-hundred dollars in the trunk of his car.
