Governor Cuomo is giving up on getting legal marijuana into the upcoming budget.
The budget deadline is the end of the month. Cuomo was hoping to use some of the tax revenue from marijuana sales to help plug a three billion dollar budget deficit.
State lawmakers could still debate legalizing marijuana before the legislative session ends in June.
