Schumer: Rochester Jobs Not Affected by Windstream Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

Senator Schumer says he has been assured by the CEO at Windstream Services that no jobs in the company's Rochester operation would be affected by the company’s recent Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing.

Schumer spoke by phone with CEO Anthony Thomas and was told the filing also won't affect the day to day operations here.

Windstream Services provides internet and phone services and employs roughly 700 in the Rochester area. Windstream declared bankruptcy after a judge ruled the company had to forfeit $310 million to a hedge fund.

The company is headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas.
