Informant in Drexel Case Sues, Says Statement Should Not Have Been Released

Tequan Brown is serving a 25 year prison term in South Carolina. He told the FBI in 2016 that he witnessed Brittanee Drexel's murder, and saw her body dumped in an alligator pit. Brown filed a handwritten complaint naming FBI and South Carolina officials he says made that information public. As a result, Brown says his family has been threatened by someone he believes to be Timothy Da'Shaun Taylor, the man he accuses of kidnapping, raping and murdering Drexel.

Brown says he never wanted to be involved in the Drexel investigation and release of the information has made him a target.
