State Lawmakers Outlining What They Want Included in the State Budget

The state budget is due in a few weeks, and Assembly Republicans are outlining what they want included.

The Republicans want the state's current two percent property tax cap to be made permanent. They'd also like to provide living wages for direct-care workers.

The lawmakers also want small businesses to get a boost, and want an initiative put in place to help lower student debt.

The new budget must be finished by April 1.
