Rochester City Councilman Adam McFadden has been charged with wire fraud, money laundering and conspiracy.
McFadden's case is connected to the arrest of George Moses last fall when he was arrested for lying to the FBI.
FBI Special Agent-in-Charge Gary Loeffert says Moses and McFadden caused the Rochester Housing Charities to enter into a contract that would help McFadden.
The FBI and US Attorneys Office held a news conference to detail the charges.
Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren released a statement regarding the Rochester Housing Authority:
“Protecting the public trust must always come first. No one is above the law and, if found guilty, must be held accountable. My first concern is for the residents served by the Rochester Housing Authority. While the Housing Authority is an independent entity, and is not managed by the City, I remain committed to working with its leadership to ensure RHA’s residents have safe, affordable and quality housing."

Story posted October 23, 2018: The chairman of the Rochester Housing Authority Board is being charged with lying to federal investigators. George Moses has pleaded not guilty to charges of making false statements, apparently connected to RHA contracts. The charge carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Federal investigators allege that Moses made four false statements to the FBI regarding his knowledge of contracts between Rochester Housing Charities (RHC) and Capital Connection Partners LLC. (CCP) and between CCP and Caesar Development LLC., a company owned by Adam McFadden.
