Monroe County Sheriff's Deputy Rescues Woman From Fire

A Monroe County Sheriff's Deputy rescued a woman from a house fire in Parma on Wednesday. The deputy saw the fire at the house on Webster Road around 3:30 p.m. The deputy, along with a neighbor, went into the burning house and saved a woman in her 80s. Fire crews said the woman was the only person inside the house. She was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital and is in stable condition. The deputy was treated and released from Unity Hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
