State police say a civilian worker at the Attica prison is facing charges for allegedly having a personal relationship with an inmate.
The investigation began in September and led to the arrest this week of Joann Thompson on charges of official misconduct and second degree sex abuse.
Thompson was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Attica Court.
