RIT Student Seriously Injured by Shock from Electrical Experiment

An RIT student was seriously injured while working on an electrical experiment.

The 18-year-old was shocked in the basement of his home on Dortmund Circle in Chili. Investigators say he was trying to build a "Jacob's Ladder" -- which generates a series of moving sparks -- when he was shocked.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says the teen was revived by first responders.
