NY Reaches Settlement Benefiting Students that Attended Everest Institute

New York has reached a settlement benefiting students who were attending the Everest Institute in Rochester when it closed.

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says roughly 350 Everest students will be eligible for $2.4 million in student loan relief.

Overall, the settlement with a student loan firm will benefit 41,000 students nationwide who attended schools run by Everest's owner, Corinthian Colleges. The 30 campuses closed in 2014 and Corinthian went bankrupt.
