State Help for Flooded Lake Ontario Home and Business Owners on Hold

State help for flooded Lake Ontario home and business owners is on hold.

Governor Cuomo wants changes to the bill approved last week by the state lawmakers. The bipartisan bill would create a $90 million grant fund to cover repair bills.

Cuomo's budget director Robert Mujica says there are technical issues with the bill, and the governor reportedly wants households above $125,000 to be ineligible for the grants.

State lawmakers have already adjourned for the year, but could return to Albany this year to amend the bill and pass other incomplete legislation.
