RCSD School Board Holding Public Hearing on School Budget

The Rochester City school board is set this evening to hold the second of two public hearings on the next school budget.

It's an opportunity for parents and others to comment on funding priorities for the coming year.

Superintendent Barbara Deane-Williams' proposed budget totals $791 million. Her plan would cut costs at the main office and add 144 teacher positions to boost graduation rates.

The hearing will be held at 6 p.m. in the 3rd floor conference room at the Central Office Building on West Broad Street.
