A town Supervisor in Ontario County is facing theft charges.
Richmond Supervisor Nathan VanBortel is accused of taking records from his former employer illegally.
He was arrested on Friday by Canandaigua police for allegedly having business records from a bank where he worked.
VanBortel is due in court next week and his term as supervisor is up at the end of the year.
