Rochester, NY- Two women are dead following a crash on Lake Avenue Tuesday afternoon.
Rochester Police say that it occurred around 2:20 p.m. near Holy Sepulchre Cemetery and Riverside Cemetery.

Investigators believe that a 42-year-old woman driving a gray SUV was headed south on Lake Ave when she lost control, swerved into the northbound lane and was hit by a white truck.
The woman in the SUV and a 22-year-old female passenger were both killed.
The driver of the pickup, a 34-year-old woman was taken to Strong Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Lake Ave has been closed in all directions in between Burley Road and Winchester Street since the accident occurred. Police say it will remain closed for a few more hours, at the time of publishing this article (4:50 p.m.)
